2000 CLK, alarm going off randomly. Apparently it's the siren batteries. Anyone know how to de-activate it? Can you pull a fuse or something? Tried leaving the car unlocked but it just locks itself again? Any way to get round that?

My neighbours hate me.

It just locks itself again? Really?

I know many cars re lock if they are unlocked but no doors opened but not aware that any will simply lock themselves under other circumstances.

Can't you just change the batteries? Or have a new siren fitted?
