Bang on, the first one looks dodgy though. Italian car is a mess... Amg car = no no... 2 cars left...1st one's got the wrong wheels on. They're 16 inchers off a 129. Those stupid lights send out all the wrong signals, too.
The second one—the silver one—looks glorious. What a wonderful colour combination and the condition looks superb. It is almost fully loaded: so far as I can tell, it lacks only a trip computer, a pre-heater, a rear blind, a passenger airbag, the sound system and a town and country horn.
Likewise the third one—the blueblack one.
Such super cars. Enjoy it, whichever one you go for.

I woulnd't go for a low mileage, a 560 v8 is running stationairy at 500 rpm, and its needs to go regularly over 120 mph in order to get it used, because that's what a Mercedes is designed for.
Rust is a killer for these cars, so you better look out for any repairs etc. its more important then mileage

yes, you're right, am much better off with a 200k miles car than a 20k miles car.Rust is a killer for these cars, so you better look out for any repairs etc. its more important then mileage
And obviously, I did not get a car on a lift nor got an expert to look at it...................................

I wonder if that is the same car that Charles Ironside sold earlier this year. It languished with him for about a year. His asking was 20.No doubt it is very fine indeed, but it doesn't look like 30 grand of perfection. The Sacco panels, door handles, headlamp wiper arms and wing mirror trims are the wrong colour (it's not clear to me that that car is its original colour: a 1988 126 was available in 735 Astral Silver Metallic, which would have been paired with 7177 Stratus Grey trim; to my eye, however, that car looks to be painted 744 brilliant silver which was not available in 1988 but, when it came available in about 1991, was paired with 7181 Atlas Grey); it's on cheapo front tyres (pic 7, presumably that's the tidiest wheel of the lot); the model designation is in the wrong place (pic 8); the wheels have been curbed (pic 7 again); it has a nasty LED in the switch trim (pic 10, probably installed by the importer but still appalling); the driver's door glass is scratched (pic 3); the driver's seat back is incorrectly fitted (pic 12, very difficult to get this right); the floor mats are after market and have those irritatingly incorrect "Mercedes" plates (should be "Mercedes-Benz" in font Corporate A); it isn't even very clean (pics 7 and 10).
Minor niggles all, but at £30k, you are entitled to expect perfection. But then Hexagon Classics have stolen 4 Star Classic's crown when it comes to speculative pricing and superficial prep.
Edit: it is the ex-Ironside car.

Really?! Good for you. It looks like a superb example "in the best colour scheme", as the ads always have it. Is there a story? When do you get it?
Being shipped, so 1-2 weeks. Smoke silver was not my top colour. But with black interior, it should be good enough. I searched, travelled and waited a long time. So quite excited!Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
