New C Class, opinions?

I've had my C220 BlueTEC AMG Line Premium Estate for about 2 weeks now (Palladium Silver). Very happy with it. I did test drive a BMW 320d M Sport for 24 hrs and liked that also but the Merc was cheaper and was a newer model with some cool gadgets.
I got it on a 6+23 @ £279.97 (10k miles), same supplier now asking for £441.86!

As I said further back in this thread that I'm not supposed to be able to select this as a company car due to the over 2000cc rule. However it still shows on the company car online configurator, so I'm tempted to see if I get away with ordering it, then pleading ignorance re the engine size as it doesn't appear anywhere on our website. Probably early days yet but how are you finding the mpg? I'd be going for the auto option anyway, but just some idea of how it is performing would be useful since we know the claims aren't to be believed.

I'm not the most economical driver, getting about 38mpg I think at the moment (non-motorway)Probably early days yet but how are you finding the mpg? I'd be going for the auto option anyway, but just some idea of how it is performing would be useful since we know the claims aren't to be believed.
That's more than acceptable.
Meant to ask; what's the ride like on the AMG model as I note it lists 'sport' suspension in the specs? I'm on the edge of placing an order tomorrow, but I won't get chance for a test drive (the firm's lease company test drive lead time is 5-6 weeks at the moment due to Christmas). In theory it shouldn't be an option for me, but while it's on the list then no harm in trying. Fall back is an A6 or another 3 series, so not exactly slumming it, but if I can swing the Mercedes...

My wife just got a c250 amg line estate on Friday, dark blue. Have to say its really nice and I think a good improvement over the old model (and current E class). Still getting used to sat nav which I suspect might not be as good as old one but everything else is great, really like the interior.
I am looking to swap my BMW 520d luxury touring for a new C class 250 saloon with premium pack.
I now have the pro navigator which is excellent and I'm sure better than the "garmin" in the Mercedes but can anyone give me personal experience feedback on this and the phone Bluetooth, does it load phone book ok and is voice activation OK?

Tempted with a C250 bluetec AMG one of these, lovely looking car it's a close call between this and a 330d M Sport.
Do the mercs come with nav?
According to the specs of the C Class I spec'd up on MB website it comes with Garmin:Do the mercs come with nav?
Under Standard equipment (included in the basic price)/Radio and communication
Mercesdes website says said:

PS. I ordered a C220 AMG line Estate with the 7 speed auto, upgraded to leather interior/seat comfort package/Burmester surround system. Haven't heard if it's ordered (or even approved by HR) but thought I'd take a chance on getting away with it.Garmin® MAP PILOT

Anyone got a c200 estate? I love the look of the new c class and considering whether a nearly new one might be within reach in about 3-4 months time. From looking at the used cars on the Mercedes website at the min the petrol versions are already a good bit cheaper than the diesels.
The quoted mpg for the c200 is basically identical to that of my current diesel Octavia vrs estate and I was wondering what sort of real mpg are people getting? As petrol is a bit cheaper than diesel anything in excess of 40mpg in real world use would be acceptable to me.

The equivelent C Class to the C200 petrol is probably the C220 170 bhp diesel and there is a good reason they are cheaper second hand because they are about £2300 cheaper new.
The best deal I have found from a Mercedes main dealer for the C200 petrol is:
C200 Sport saloon manual £25038
C200 AMG saloon manual £26380
Both a saving of about £4300 on the new price and if you want an automatic or a Estate they are another £1300 for each. For the diesel the savings are about £4700 off list price but they are more expensive to start with.
Looking at all the second hand new shape C Classes on Pistonheads classified the second hand prices from the Merc dealers seam to be a few thousand more than the price you could buy a new one so you may be better off buying new and saving money.
While my car was repaired after an old boy reversed into me at a petrol station I asked for a new shape C Class as I was interested in buying one. They gave me a C200 petrol automatic from Enterprise car rentals organised through my insurance.
I was very impressed with the car and will buy a C200 AMG petrol saloon next year but holding off for the moment as Mercedes will be updating the petrol and diesel engines sometime next year as so may be better to wait. Some people on here say that Mercedes will introduce a 6 cylinder C Class next year but I have heard from various sources including Mercedes that that engine will not appear in a C Class in the UK but not sure about Germany.

The official mpg figures for the C Class petrol are:
MPG Urban: 39.8 MPG Extra-urban: 61.4 MPG Combined: 51.4
Although my car should have taken about 4 days to fix in the end I had the hire car for 20 days and used it virtually all the time driving around the Cardiff area with one run to Bristol to see my parents and it averaged 40.3 mpg for the time I had it.
The Merc mpg figures look realistic in my experience and with normal commuting I would think that 50 mpg would be quite easy to achieve. The C220 diesel would probably average quite a bit better mpg but then again it would cost £2300 more so for me as a private buyer doing 4-5k miles a year I would choose the petrol.
