New C63 AMG

I was in Affalterbach on Friday doing the AMG tour,saw and heard the C63 mule go past.

Now the current C63 is a mean sounding machine, but my God this mule was even better, deeper and more guttural. Honestly if this is the sound on the replacement, the current model will pale into insignificance...

That said await an announcement on the 24th of September regarding the new model by AMG!

Not so sure abouts it's looks. Think this might be another of those 'in the flesh' cars.

Any ideas when the configurator and pricing will appear? As it looks like the PPP model is going to be replaced with immediate effect and availability by the S i may put my name down sooner rather than later. A 700bhp+ tuned C63 might just steer me away from my 3.6s to 60 A45!

Wow, does your A45 really do 0-60 in 3.6 secs? That is really quick, cant quite understand them making it quicker than any other car they do.

Yeah, its a proper little weapon. Running a stage 1 map from rebellion automotive pushing 420bhp+. I reckon the A45 was a bit of an engineering showcase given it's the first 4matic AMG they've built from the ground up.

Won't just be a remap to 700brake
My cls 5.5 is only just running that, need to spend big bucks to get bigger figures, and a long time for the coders to crack it, I think the s model with 510 will be the model of choice but how much premium over standard, although the remap will probably be identical end figures for either, and it will only be rear wheel drive over here I guess.

Was pondering this again today. With the new tech being so much more expensive than the last model (think A45 costings) do we think that the new car will be as well priced as the last?

Dunno - the 507 was nearly 70k retail, so this shouldn't be so bad but obviously no deals to start with I assume.

Question (not for Eddie though with his a45). I see a few comments about a 4 matic version, personally I wouldn't want to buy a 4wd c63 - the rwd is part of the magic to me.

I am sure the new car will be superb. But newer ain't always better. And the interior has the same daft 'tablet' as the regular new C class.....If I was the boss of AMG I'd have got rid of that mess.

Actually I've been pretty poor getting back to people of late, so apologies to those I've not got back to; stupidly busy with a new team of managers I'm training and home life is pretty hectic getting ready for a new arrival! Anyone I've missed ping me an e-mail to [e-mail]

On another note, I'm currently running a new C-Estate - even though it's got a crap engine the car is stunning, the interior is a lovely place to be; it's so nice you can almost forgive the iPad sat nav!

Haha, yeah good point! I'm currently driving a 250 diesel, which in terms of being an economical derv it's great - it's just a far cry from the AMG lumps I've had in the past!
