C63 Head Bolts Issues !!!

Hi Guys

Here we have a Mercedes C63 2008 done 20,000 Miles !!!

The car has come to us for engine oil and water mixing.

We are going to do the following to the car :


Check Cause of the Oil and Water Mixing
New Head Gaskets
ARP Head Bolts
ARP Cam Bolts
New Buckets
Stage 2 Wesitec Supercharger
IPE Down Pipes + Sport Cats.






























We found 2 Head Bolts Lose on the rear of the OS Head !!! So that is the cause of the water and oil mixing!!

Just goes to show that anything handmade is potentially faulty from the get go. That's the human factor. The guy who tightened the bolts probably was having a bad day.

^^^ No, it's a recognised fault with the early engines (up to 2009 i think), nothing to do with the build. Merc recalled and fixed many under warranty.
