just saw one in the flesh in Doddinghurst, Brentwood. As you can see its for the mens collection which is according to the guy driving it the male equivalent of fashion week. He was picking up David Gandy to arrive at the event soon I believe.
Looks the nads in the flesh and when he started it up for me sounded like thunder, inside looked really well finished as well. Hats off to anyone who has one of these/has one on order cant imagine anyone would be dissapointed.

Nope wasn't me! Glad someone else has good taste...Maybe it was jmg. I have yet to see another one in the wild. I have penciled in some more unnecessary driving this weekend so will perhaps drive though Marlow to see my doppelganger.
As it happens I did drive through Marlow on Saturday so could have been me?The only other selenite one I've heard of has black wheels ... Don't know where it lives so suppose it could have been that one.

All - per a previous post, I'm thinking about getting some paint protection for the car. Never having gone down this road before, I haven't a clue what I should be considering. Can anyone offer me some advice please?
Thanks,
Jason
Try Francis (aka paddy) - he does most of the Aston Martin owners cars and trusted. Essentially you can get the car detailed and protected with a very strong sealant/coating or have a film applied on sensitive parts or the whole car. The latest films even self heal if they get scuffed. It's nothing like the type of finish a dealer would offer, it's much much betterThanks,
Jason

My recommendation is Topaz - they do my Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Maserati's - they also do McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and LaFerarri - they are the best. They offer two services:
1. Paint Correction (Level 1 through to Level 5
2. Paint Protection - Front, Front and Vulnerable area (i.e. Leading edges) and Full protection.
They are not the cheapest - but depending on how much your paint is worth (some of my cars come with a lots of Carbon and special paint) - it's absolutely worth it. And they OCD like you wouldn't believe!

Me again, but does anyone else think that there has been almost zero fuss made of buyers who have put money down to buy this car? I mean I bought a new 991 4S 2 years ago and at least I got a track day at Silverstone (and a nice lunch). I suppose I got that fancy magazine that I had to go to the post office to get...big whoop. Other car launches seem to have more marketing etc. MB clearly aren't big on perks...
Yep - disap[pointed by this. In fact the whole CRM aspect of the buying process has been poor.Bought three AMGs in a row now but no hint of a day at Brooklands or Silverstone where MB have GTs now available to drive, neither was there any invitation to a launch event. Best I got was a phone call two weeks ago from MBUK offering me a test drive after I answered a few obvious pre-qualifying questions "because I had previously shown an interest in the AMG GT", the poor lady was slightly flummoxed when I said "Indeed I did and was so interested we put down a deposit on one in September last year"

Perhaps Merc/AMG aren't so switched on at this level of the marketplace with keeping their customers happy/in the loop, with various days put on for track etc. A friend of mine was given a long weekend with a Huracan, and a hoon at brook lands for free, and he hadn't put a deposit down or anything, just said he wanted to see what the Huracan was about and they obliged. So not quite sure what merc are playing at, as theres been several feeds/comments about AMG majorly lacking here!Bought three AMGs in a row now but no hint of a day at Brooklands or Silverstone where MB have GTs now available to drive, neither was there any invitation to a launch event. When I purchased my R8, I received a days Audi Experience at Silverstone and hospitality and entrance to the Goodwood Festival of Speed BUT I have no idea if I was just lucky (the Silverstone day was a sales promotion from the dealer) rather than these things being standard.

I have heard rumours of a Silverstone day for GT buyers ... but haven't had anything official on this and would have thought I'd have something by now if it was going to happen?Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
