pick up my new c63 next week cant wait for the journey from yorkshire to glasgow with the sound to zero and listen to her purr.

You'll love it i'm sure! Once the regular fill ups become a bit of a bore it's nice to know that you can achieve over 25mpg on a sensible trip biggrin. My friends are horrified but I think that's actually quite impressive for such a big engine.Truth be told though, it's often much worse because you're always loading the engine to hear the exhaust.

Enjoy, but you'll be back on here in a few months asking how you go about tuning it!

It's amazing, best noises are:

1. On cold startup - keep door open
2. The crack from the exhaust during redline gearchanges
3. Burbling and cracking on the over-run

I've averaged 18mpg in nearly 2 years / 18k miles.

Best 27mpg on a 140 mile drive (totally boring)
Worst 9.1mpg over 24 miles x-country and nailing it (totally exciting)
