[quote=DB7 pilot]Nice looking motor. Bought one of those myself this year to take out to Spain funnily enough:
A 1965 220SEB. Auto, column shift. A bit slow, bogs down a little when pressed on, but acres of character, you're gonna love it! [very nice mate I probably may need some advice when I get it, if you don't mind. my car is 1964 220 w111 se model and apparently not been on the road for thirty years. I imagine it will require some work to get road worthy probably need to do something with the head to get it to run on unleaded. Still I have this to use in the meantime. ]

Times are hard! How will you get by with a mere gullwing?
No probs regarding advice, just had mine given a good going over after doing 200 miles in 25 years. I'm having it sprayed to match this:
A '69 pagoda that's two years into a full rebuild.
I've also had a set of '70's Mexican hat alloys refurb'd to fit the 220:
I'll keep the standard steel wheels & hub caps to pass on in the unlikely event that it's sold. These are also the same fit for the Pagoda which is really convenient.

Them wheels look brilliant will look good on the car. The colour of the pagoda also looks nice, it looks similar to my car's colour. Will be in contact with you in the new year for some advice as i don't get back to the uk for four weeks stuck in China at the momentNo probs regarding advice, just had mine given a good going over after doing 200 miles in 25 years.
