2011 SLK leak

Wife's 2011 model SLK very wet in drivers footwell water seems to come in at the front sill area near the bottom of the door.

Is this a common problem ? there any drain holes I need to check ?

There is a drain hole at the top of each A-pillar. If the driver side is blocked the water drops from the top corner straight in to the footwell (but quite well back, more alongside the seat). Might be worth checking?
