Been a couple of early cars with not insignificant mileage up for 140-150k recently

How bonkers is that?

Funnily enough I just looked yesterday and noticed the same thing - I thought the first one was a mistake, but then there were others! Bonkers, but no more bonkers than some other cars' price increases recently.

Mine is 10 reg, c15k miles with Brabus engine, exhaust upgrade and also been back to factory for gearbox software. I'm half thinking about selling it in the spring, mainly so I have space at home to try something different, but at the same time know that I'll miss it before long. Storage for a year or two is another option.

If the prices keep going up, will be tempting to bail out til they inevitably come down again, but i know I won't get another one in same spec ever again.

One is (was) mine. Up at £139k....and because it's being sold by a Merc dealer, they'll probably get close to that price. They have no choice given what they paid me for it smile

If theres no supply and little competition between vendors, anybody who wants one will just have to cough up! It's a sellers market and if I was any of the handful of other sellers with cars in the £100-110k region, I'd whack £10k on the price straight away.

Don't get me wrong.......I own one so happy bunny

Don't think I'd sell it as not worried about the dough but helps to know the money is in a good place

Supply and Demand as always

I wish I hadn't sold mine 14 months ago for £90k. I thought I made the right choice after running roadster and gullwing back to back for a few months, the roadster is easily the better car to own, but financially at the moment, it seems the gullwing is the one to have.

Know the feeling... I had a 911 turbo 4 speed 930 21000m mint1984 a few years ago
Couldn't give it away at 19k
Could add 100k one o that now

Gullwing prices are definitely on the up. I bought a roadster a few months ago, these seem to be holding their value but not increasing yet. Only a matter of time in my opinion. Stunning car to drive, still can't believe how fast it is... and how much fun on a damp road driving

Agreed - I took mine for a few laps of a sprint event on part of old Ingliston circuit - 3rd or maybe 4th gear max, but still entertaining when damp....

Bought coupe in September last year for £102k with 2.5k miles. Now up to 5k miles and had an offer of £110k form a dealer. just done a day with MB Enthusiast magazine comparing the original (mine) a roadster and a Black. Great day out, details in this months Mercedes Enthusiast mag.

I saw the article with your car - looks like it was good fun and you represented it well! Did you get to go out in the Black Series on the day?

Wow you must have caught the prices right at the bottom! 2.5k miles for 102k is really good. Hope prices do rise slowly. Give me a year or two in the SLS then hopefully get into something else equally special

How about starting a new thread titled "How low did SLS prices go before they moved up". There must have been some sold in the high 70's last year.

Andrew. I drove both the roadster and the Black. Not a lot of difference with the roadster apart from no roof. The Black however, is a different animal altogether , not a car that I would want to live with every day as it is too raw. I did. Manage to take it for a blast up the runway but at 160 chickened out as the 747 at the end of the runway was looming large.

Just happened to log onto PH at the right time, had been looking for some time this one came up ex IoM car. I expect the previous owner only drove round the island once a week .Bought it without seeing in the flesh and part ex my Maserati GT MC Sport. Funnily my car had the same mileage as the SLS.

I too saw the feature in MB Enthusiast magazine (even bought a copy to keep as a souvenir, being as I no longer have one) and found it very interesting. I didn't realise the coupe was yours Paul.
TH currently have a virtually new SLS Black series (claimed to be one of only 3 in the UK) and it looks mental, like an SLS on steroids!

I think prices probably bottomed out around late 2012/early 2013 where trade bids would have been around £80k for an average condition, spec, miles SLS coupe.
