SLR 2005 Buyer's guide - Does it exist?

Ever since I drove a SLR along the French Riviera a few years ago I have yearned to own one. Recently I've seen a couple of 2005 LHD circa 10k mile examples floating around. To me they are great value (150-180K), considering it's a hyper car, and the running costs are tolerable. What I want to avoid are costs for repair since they're ludicrously expensive to put right. Also if the major£15k service has been completed it's a bonus.

I have been hunting around the forums seeking out information about these cars. Although I have gathered a couple of points I'd be happier with a more accurate picture before committing to a purchase. Can any current/previous owners offer any advice of any unique things to pay close attention to?
