Changing battery in R107 420SL
Discussion
Hi all. The battery on my 420SL is dead. I've tried jump starting the car, and it starts perfectly, but even after running the engine for a while, once I've turned it off it's completely dead again.
I presume this means I need a new battery. I've worked out that I can buy one on the web pretty cheaply and it looks like it would not be a tricky job to replace.
Is that correct? Is it the sort of thing a complete novice could do? Or should I be taking it to Halfords and getting them to do it for me?
Thanks!

Yes, you should be able to do it!
Two nuts for the battery terminals and one for the clamp.
Cheapest place for a battery is usually carparts4less.co.uk as well.
Order online and it's delivered within a day or two, much cheaper than Halfords!
