A C63s and doesn't have a sports exhaust? I thought they were standard on AMG's in general
Yeah I was surprised that the S didn't have it as standard at least.

This demo is at Southampton Mercedes if anybody is interested? Don't expect to get any customer service included though.

I've had mine for almost a month now.
it's a non S model in black with premium pack and night pack.
it doesn't need the optional sports exhaust - it's louder than the previous model. the gear changes feel quicker as well.
it feels very well planted to the road, maybe that's the lsd which my last 1 didn't have
the interior is way way better than before, much better quality materials used.
I even like the ipad style screen.
I find the radio a bit of a pain as dab reception isn't that great where I live and it constantly tries to retune.
in sport + it's a bit jerky when driving in town, but the noise is amazing when you can find some space.
overall i'd say it's a country mile above my last model which was a 2012 coupe with the power upgrade.

Thanks for the input Kagey - I actually drove one today but only for about 15 minutes - am booking in a longer drive as this was an adhoc vsit to my dealer - I thought the sound was pretty quiet to be honest so very different to your findings but my exhaust is modded on my 507 so not fair comparison of course - thoughts below:

Looks - yes very nice, diamond white with black wheels - other than the rear quarter/boot which I don't like much but I could live with it - it looks a bit too short and the rear lights are not a great design.

Interior - this had the Premium package so leather dash etc - looked way more upmarket than my current C63.
Seats - fantastic
Overall interior is a big step up it seemed - I didn't like the lookalike android tablet thing on the dash but not a big problem.

Noise - low speed rumble, say when navigating the car park definitely sounded more bassy to me - I was getting quite excited at this stage for the aural delight I was expecting but out on the road it was quite far away from my car, but then I do have secondary cats removed so mine is special sounding - still a good noise though. I am not sure if it had the actual performance exhaust which is a 1K option - it did have a switchable exhaust but that could just be operating the exhaust flaps. still sounds good but I would 100% want to have more noise to be satisfied.

Performance - felt quick of course, so does my 507 - need to drive it for a good couple of hours really but no concerns about the cars performance - its obviously very quick.

Overall I was very impressed and it really made my 507 look dated inside and outside.

I'm "sold" on it but getting a deal I assuem is going to be really hard as current best contribution from dealer I have seen is circa 1200 quid so it comes out as massively more expensive than what I paid for my 507 on a similar two year deal atm - I gues it is way to early for deals really to be had on these at the moment.

Today I've taken out a C63 saloon via Cheltenham although the car is actually Bristols. Great guy at Cheltenham was called Will who was happy for me to drive wherever and enthusiastically. I've previously owned a 2013 Coupe.
Overall I thought the car was phenomenal. The performance from this non-S, I would say is definitely stronger than the previous standard model. It is SO fast and accessible. I was really surprised as to how responsive the engine was, I would say that it actually felt more responsive than the last engine which of course it shouldn't be really with it being turbo'd.
The handling was exactly what I want from this type of car, firm suspension (certainly no limo!) but really feels connected with the road. Genuinely exploitable in the bends as well, it will oversteer if requested (!) but not without provocation (in the dry with sports handling engaged)
This car had the sports exhaust option and this is one area which I was surprised to find wasn't quite as I would like. It's not as loud as the previous standard coupe but still sounded fantastic, just more muted. I would definitely need to sports exhaust as I can only imagine that the standard exhaust must be quieter?
The engine really revs and in manual you have to be ready to change up pretty quickly
It's so fast
The seats were standard in this one and felt fine. Not as good as the old coupe but perfectly good enough and comfortable. Could do with adjustable side bolsters
The interior was all very lovely with the premium pack
Overall I think it's one hell of a car and a definite step up from the previous one. Absolutely no comparison with the M4 that I drove a few weeks ago. I really like BMW's(currently have 2) but cannot see why anyone would by an M4/M3 over this.
It's quite pricey at the moment with no dealer input. Very tempted with the only confusion being that I drove a 911 997 GTS a few weeks ago which is similar money and possibly more of a temptation (having never owned a 911 and not specifically needing something bigger).
Amazing car with almighty performance. Other than wanting a bit more noise (which is nit-picki), I couldn't fault it. Happy days!

My new Hyacinth Red C63 S arrived last weekend so I'm still in the running-in phase but to anyone contemplating specifying a new car, the AMG performance exhaust should be considered a "must have" option. Might be a tad anti-social but I love it!

Have you got any pics SL? That colour is really growing on me. What colour interior have you done for? I'd love magnolia/cream but not brave enough

The dealer took a bunch of pictures when I collected the car. I'll post them when I get them. The Hyacinth Red is stunning and a lot more interesting than the ubiquitous black/silver/white.
I specified a black interior but it arrived with the edges in grey which lifts the interior. The dealer persuaded me that a light interior would not be a good idea come resale time. In fact I'm very happy with the black/grey edging.

I had the C63 S that I drove previously for 2 hours on my own today - definitely changed my opinions a bit after a real drive.

1) Performance - it does feel quicker than my 507 - it really is a quick car - obviously the turbo torque is helping here
2) noise - I was fiddling with the settings and found RACE mode - turn that on and the car is louder that my 507 - it sounds amazing and in 2nd or 3rd, if you take the revs up high and let of the throttle it POPs really loud to order, without fail - I like that. This car did have the optional performance exhaust. I love the sound at stationary and car park speeds too - definitely noisier than my current 507.
3) Handling - yes it is good - feels lighter.
4) Tech and interior - as we have all said - different class to the outgoing model.

I was very taken by the car and am close to pulling the trigger.

Things I dont like so much:

1) The iPad thing - in my opinion it looks crap and a real integrated screen would be far superior although this wouldnt stop me buying the car.
2) Overall looks - the noise the car makes and the speed, you woudl think it was a rip roaring monster but it looks very ordinary C class style on the outside - i.e the looks dont match the speed, noise and handling of the car. The 507 is much more shouty and I like that.

Overall - I LOVED it and I am pushing for a deal and we are gettng closer - will let you know if I order but it would be Polar White and Black wheels (how sterotypical smile).

@SL55 I'd be really grateful to see those pictures too, as Hyacinth Red is something i'm toying with at the moment but have not yet seen on the C63 and so struggling to decide what to go with. Thanks

Make sure you view a car in hyacinth red, it's not the best of colours.
