Hello Piston Heads,

RE: CLK coupe or cab - Second generation (2002–2009; C209/A209)

Considering one of these, I know they're getting on but I've always though they're one of the best looking coupes. Have a few Q's and wondered if anyone could help.

1) is the Sport chassis back breaking or well damped?
2) Some say the seats are really uncomfortable, anyone shed light?
3) Does the auto have flappy paddles?
4) is the petrol 350 worth the extra fuel costs over the 280?
5) When does the cam belt need changing?

I thank you, in advance,

V12 AMG

1) I found it a bit too harsh for my liking.
2) Yep, seats were too narrow and slightly twist you. Others find them super comfy, depends on your body shape I guess.
3) Only the AMG models have them as standard, they can be retro fitted though.
4) In the real world there is no difference in fuel between them, in fact the 500 V8 isn't much different.
5) All cars have a cam chain.

Avoid cats before 53 plate. They rust badly.

In that case, I'll get the V8!

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
