JUMPED THE FENCE FROM TVR TO AMG
Discussion
Very nice, they are a hooligan of a car that bring out the hooligan in you. I just love the way you can get it to squiggle down the the road. I took mine out for a blast the other afternoon and got 11 mpg but I couldn't care less when you are having this much fun and the sound of the exhaust.

That must have cost a few bob to have done. I prefer the facelift front that the SL63 has to the later SL63 with the 5.5 turbo engine though.MadeInEngland said:
Another one here. Cerbera to slk55. Had it going on for 6 years now and still loving it. Still miss the drama of the Cerbera though when you planted your right foot.
Not seen that colour Gareth. Nice - Can't be many in that colour and the 55 is not exactly common. Edited by Mr M on Saturday 23 May 21:24
Blimey, have i started a "im spartacus thing".
Yes very nice conversion i see. I saw mine 2 years ago and fell in love with her.
I want to keep her the way she is though.Origonal red which ive claybared and put jewel ultra bright on all over body and glass but not the front screen. Shes way more powerfull enough for the road.
My racing days are over (i used to hillclimb and sprint in a R1 Jedi for some 7 years) .
Loud and proud old git slightly anti establishment me.

Count me in also. After 2 years of deliberation and 17 years of ownership I sold my mint 23000 mile Griffith 500 to get a new c63 507 Edition coupe. I am so pleased about taking the plunge as the Griffith never got used because it was so impractical. Not a problem with the AMG as done 7000 miles in the first year.... absolutely awesome machine and it seems to be holding onto its value reasonably well too.
There was a rather good gathering of Mercedes owners down here in Hampshire last week-end called Benz on the Green to raise money for the Ben charity. There were about half a dozen SL AMG owners there with a couple of nicely modified SL's, one with what I think was a lowering module that looked really trick and gave the SL a much lower stance which suited it well. Plus a Brabus SL it was good to chat to other owners and have a good look over their cars might be worth noting this event for next year.

I have that module fitted to mine it's from Brabus it lets it sit on the floor then as soon as you start up it raises to a sensible height still lower than standard but not silly, plus you still have the option of going hitting the button to raise it further.ZX10R NIN said:

Thanks I've just gone through some of the threads on MBClub about them. I did promise myself that I wouldn't spend any extra money on the car as I rarely keep them more than a year but this module and the carbon fibre rear diffuser are very very tempting.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
