After my S2000 came to a sticky end, I'm sort of between cars. I picked up a lovely low mileage Celica to keep me mobile a few months ago, and it's great but I'm finding it a bit rattly, hard-riding (albeit not so hard as the S2000) and I've got used to my wife's automatic, especially on the morning commute. Basically I must be getting old, rock hard ride and howling hyper-revving engines are great but on a day to day basis a bit of laid back style is more appealing. So I'm after something cheap-ish to buy, reliable, swift on demand but but easy going. This leads me to my latest obsession - the R129 SL, inspired by some of the chat on the 1-5k Barge thread in General Gassing.
I've spotted a nice looking one near me - SL320, 2001, AMG wheels, navy blue, mushroom interior, 90k miles - and quite fancy it. Anyone got any advice on what's worth looking out for on them? Goods, bads, uglies? Reliability, performance?

Here is a good write up for you by the aptly named PHer, R129.
