NAG1 2004 oil change

I'm going to do an oil change on my NAG1 box (Mercedes 5 speed auto)found in my 2004 Grand Cherokee.

There is the genuine Mercedes "approved" oil you can buy. They state Shell 3403 in the Jeep hand book. I've searched the net that but cant find it, so I guess its down to the Mercedes dealer, who BTW wont give official advice at the counter on Mercedes products found in Jeeps.
The local Jeep dealer told me they use Petronius oil ????

There are aftermarket alternatives (Valvoline from Euro parts) that say are "recommended" for this gearbox, but not "approved" by Mercedes. The USA forums are full of arguments as to weather these should be used or not. Only use Official approved oils and be safe.....

So anyone done this task and what oil did you use ?

If the box is a 5 speed auto then it sounds like a 722.6 MB unit. From memory when I changed the ATF in mine, the spec was MB236.12. I used Dexron III in it with no problems.
