I'm murder for not test driving a sausage before I buy....same goes for the SLS but it's definitely a car you need to take for more than a quick drive, gets better and better
To be fair I normally don't test drive either biggrin didn't the Bentley Supersports or the Hellcat loved them both.

The biggest issue I had with the SLS is not a criticism; I like convertibles. SLS's are about gullwing doors. I couldn't have both.

To be fair though I prefer the two main cars I have now, the GTC Supersports as a GT and the 650s Spyder as a sports car. The SLS is both ....... or is it neither wink

I had both for a while but kept the roadster as it was the better all round car. A gullwing is not brilliant in the summer as they do not let any light in to the interior and make it a dark place to sit on a summers day.

I think your right about the customer but it does seem that the prices seem to be on the move though especially when dealers are buying them up. I noticed a few advertised from MB Northeast lately which I found to be quite strange as I had only ever seen one other in the last few years. I probably will regret selling it but I had two great years with it and was not afraid to take it to Germany and drive it as it should be. I think for the mileage 25k I did alright.
The same garage MB northeast contacted me to try and get mine for a trade in against the new AMG Gt the other week
That's 3 MB dealers that have approached me now offering to buy my car

Looks like the sls coupe has hit the £200k mark as mb Lincoln have just put a 2011 61plate with 13000 miles on it for £199,990.
Do you guys think that they will reach £250k-£300k by the end of next year?

There was a 100 mile example which was briefly advertised and sold last week at 200k, but there are also still a few advertised at 160-180k which don't seem to have sold.

it does feel a bit like watching Ferrari 360CS a couple of years ago - it shot up from sub 100 to 200+. One difference is the sheer number of LHD SLS for sale in Europe for less.

The way it's going for RHD cars, (SLS is probably moving up more quickly than anything else at the moment). I'd say 250k is possible next year, if the wider car bubble is still intact! I guess it's still only just back to list price right now.

I had zero expectation of making a profit when I bought mine in early 2013, and financially should probably sell now - just don't want to! Gullwing doors, 6.2l NA engine - neither will be seen again for a long time, if ever.

Just had a quick look on PH classifieds.
3 on there now over £200k. Prices plus model year plus mileage dont seem to gel. Looks like ask what you want and see what happens.

One earlier forecast on this thread for next year at £250 to £300k seems very realistic if it carries on like this for a few more months.

One dealer told me last week an sls owner rang asking to trade his 2011 model in and wanted £155k for it. So i guess the seller must be sure that the dealer can get more than that for it
when he sells it on.

Interesting times!

A buyer can ask whatever he/she wants. Question is, did the dealer want it at that price?
