I wonder if anyone can explain the issue and perhaps guide price for fixing.....The car runs very well and has always done so......
However I have what I thought was a blowing exhaust and a MOT was due...passed the car to my guy who looks after it for me. a time served MB mechanic to sort etc.....and it flys thru the MOT because it's not a blown exhaust but something to do with an internal manifold/gasket......my man says its just not worth the bother bearing it mind the cars age and thus its value. I can see that he is right in one sense....it sounds a bit blowy but when warmed up its virtually imperceptable.
Just it is that the guy isn't the best at explaining the fault....he says it has no adverse effect on the running of the car?
Any thoughts people...
