S Class Steering Column Creaks

Hi All,

Have just bought a 2006 W221 S320 CDI with only 70k miles and love it.

I know I will have bills with such a choice of car but so far the only issue is that there is a creaking sound coming from the steering column. It's like a plastic creaking and almost sounds like it's coming from inside the column itself. Sometimes turning the steering wheel makes it creak or driving over big bumps.

Anyone got any ideas? The car drives absolutely great so I'm sure it's nothing serious.
