Who's got their C350e then?
Discussion
I saw one on the road in Belgium a couple of weeks ago but that's it, quite a few new C cars but no 350e to be seen here in the UK.
Just wondering if the running costs come anywhere close to the propaganda. I don't really care too much since it's the £5k and the cheap as chips company car tax that I'm buying for, but would be nice to know what to expect in the real world.
Supposedly mine's still coming second week of December

I collected my C350e estate 4 weeks ago. The trip is showing 56mpg. The car is mainly commuting, 17 miles each way. I charge it at home and then at work during the day. The car wasn't charged last night and the trip showed 44mpg this morning. In my opinion the BIK value is the main advantage of the car.

How close to the 17 miles either way have you managed to get on battery power alone? If you tried could you manage it?
It only shows 14 miles when fully charged. I asked Mercedes about it and they reckon it`s my driving style but I am not convinced. I checked it this morning and the engine was off for 12 miles. I tend to use petrol when driving up hills to save the batteries for the town part of the journey.Edited by winbar on Monday 26th October 10:39
It'll be interesting to get the consensus of range across a few owners. I'll have mine in about 6 weeks so will update.
I'm thinking of adjusting my daily commute into London to get 15-18 miles in, then park on charge somewhere and cycle the remaining dozen miles to the office and back before driving home.
It'll be a pain if I never get over 15 miles when I've been promised 19. That'll only be 75% so pretty poor.
Saying that, making the most of the Bermester will probably take a few miles off

Any more updates?
Getting mine on Friday.
How do you guys charge them up at home? Have you got chargers installed or just use a 13a socket?
I'll be sad to see my active hybrid 3 going back so the merc has a hard act to follow....I've a feeling the straight six will be missed...
My build put back a week so should be this Sunday instead of last. Pick up sill 19th December.Getting mine on Friday.

Looking forward to reading your running report from the weekend.
Nice pics and I'm pleased to see the cream leather (is yours leather or plastic? I'm amazed by how good the plastic looks in the showroom) doesn't extend to the dash top. I've gone for cream leather too -- with Hyacinth Red -- and having looked at one on Saturday noticed the stitching on the dash and thought I might have dropped a ball if it extends to there. Yours looks great and sitting in one again I too had forgotten how great the interior was.

Got the car Saturday as planned and generally pretty impressed with it. Goes ok really, definitely not slow and looks sensational in Hyacinth with the Beige Leather. Drove into central London this morning before traffic and for the 30 mile journey (18 on A3, 12 in town) ended up with about 90mpg which is better than expected.
Not great economy on open road when batteries <15% but it was never intended to be economical like that.
I fear for the starter motor though, poor thing! Engine not as lumpy or rough sounding as reviews claim, sometimes you don't know it's cut in.
Generally I'm really pleased so far.

Hi supermono - starting to get used to mine now and the different driving mode - find myself using Eco on most journeys but struggle to get more than 10 miles on a full elec charge?
Got my charging point fitted at the weekend which make plugging it in much quicker and simpler...
Don't know if you have one or are planning to get one but if you are the installer told me the gov grant is changing and hence the cost will increase next year - just a heads up.
Other than that the free parking and electricity in town is useful!

Looks great! Interesting about the grant ending, I'll take a look.
I don't really need a charger at home since mains works fine charging in its own sweet time. But it would be handy I suppose to have a faster charge option.
Still waiting for my Source London card to appear.
Glad you're doing well with the car. For me the electric seems to rack up about 30% of the time engine off so far, in my very limited 300 mile experience so far, and when I picked up the car it wasn't charged... E mode looks right because charge mode is stealing power to charge the batteries and I'm sure that power is better used driving the wheels. I also think it tends to hold on to that last 15-20% of charge so it can always pull away on electric, saving that 1st/2nd/3rd gear gas guzzling stage from the lights.
But there's this satnav cleverness whereby it'll try and have the battery charged for any upcoming town bits, the algorithm might be clever enough to save overall.
Really like the car -- M25 for me later from A3 all the way to M11 on the Northern stretch, about 80 miles journey. If the traffic is as expected I guess MPG will be epic

I don't think it charges any quicker to be fair as its still a single phase connection? Just much more convenient than messing about with the cables in the boot - mine cost a gov subsidised £185, not cheap and probably many miles to get back (if at all). I think they are going up to about £300ish and would otherwise cost about £1000.I don't really need a charger at home since mains works fine charging in its own sweet time. The sat nav linked journey works - I think it needs to be in Eco mode but I might be wrong?
It's a good car and I'm liking mine for the it being a nice luxury car with really cheap BIK but finding all the the Eco stuff strangely interesting as well...just as well given my other gas guzzlers!
Meant too add mines the real leather but in light grey, really lightens the interior especially with the panoramic roof.
Hope you continue to enjoy + all the best to everyone for tomorrow
