Looking to trade in our family Freelander for the new Merc AMG version.
We have been offered one for a day long test drive so that will help our decision as we also like the LR Evoque.
Would love to hear from fellow PHers who own or have driven either.
Also is Merc finance the best option or would Oracle or such like be better? We are waiting for a quote from our dealer. I'm quite happy to hire the car for 3/4 years and give it back if the deal is right.
Looking at an April delivery date....
Thanks....

I'd be interested to hear opinions too as we were due to get a new Evoque next month as a company car, although a change of job means I'm car hunting again for MrsC...I'm awaiting figures on the GLC 220 CDI and think it looks a great car although I'm just working it through as to whether we go PCP on a brand new car or to buy a 2-3 yr old used SUV instead & just finance it through a straight loan (accepting it won't be new/as efficient etc) with the knowledge we'll have something to show in a few years time (well that's the hope!)

There have been quite aa few pre registered delivery mile GLE250s up for £43k and they will deal at £41k, plus with the GLE you get most of the expensive options on GLC as standard, and residual value is set some £7000 higher too. The only issue is you get the Mercedes rip off 10.9% apr as it is classed as used, but I spoke to Lombard and with £3000 down it came out at £479 a month with a balloon of £21k after 48 months, but they said they would do £24k balloon if I wanted which was £420 a month from memory.
Look on autotrader at the stock from Scottish Main dealers.
