Drainage pipes as shown

Make really sure the water was not from when you lifted the boot. Some always gets trapped around the rim and a small amount goes in.

In another car where I had a seal leak I took the seal off and used plumbers Boss White jointing compound on the flange where the seal sits - not on the seal itself but where it locates on the body and this worked a treat. It was a C class mercedes however. The Boss White does not set and is readily available, use sparingly.

Thanks very much guys, that picture was very helpful. It's obvious now I know where it is!

On another matter, I wonder if anyone has experienced a problem with seats not returning to their 'stock' position when you turn off the ignition to let you out of the car easily. I don't know if I have fiddled with something but this function was working perfectly fine when I bought the car but now it seems to not move back automatically... The seats move just fine when you push them back manually though, so surely it can't be a blow fuse?

It's a setting in the menu - under the convenience section. Sounds like it is turned off. You can have it set to off, seat only or seat and steering wheel.
