I've had my new C63 for nearly two weeks now and although it's a nice motor, is noticeably quicker and handles better, on my drive to work each morning, I find myself missing the old C63 that just went back. I too thought about buying it but opted for a great deal/spec on the new car. I wish I had kept the 6.2 though.

So I recently drove an M4 and M2 back to back and put down a deposit for the M2. Not sure when I will get delivery of the car - some time in 2017 but until then the C63 will be staying with me. Just put a new set of MPSS tyres on the rears and my life got even better. My god this car is just spectacular. This is coming from someone who has had 25 different cars over the past 10yrs...and I am not in the car trade but should be in an asylum. After almost 2yrs of ownership I still take a peak in the garage in the evenings just to take in the sheer savagery of the machine. It looks, drives and sounds like it means business.

One point to note is that my wife also loves driving the C63 (after giving me weeks of grief prior to purchase). In fact she thinks it is the best car we have owned. This is on par with the Black Sea parting or water being turned into wine as far as I am concerned. So when that call comes from BMW telling me when my M2 is coming, I will start to push the logic of "man maths" towards the direction of keeping the C63 as an "investment" and selling the 535d for the M2. That way everyone is happy and my marriage will be saved.

In fact I am going to throw in a pic just for the heck of it.

Hi,

I got it on a 2-year lease deal from Pantheon Leasing (google them).

PS - I am not affiliated to them in any way

Ah yes - I remember reading that in another thread I think, excellent - I will give them a call to see if they can still do a deal.

Wanted to compare prices of used vs new. A good spec C63S Coupé with 10-15k miles is retailing at approximately 59k at the moment. So premium pack and a few other goodies like 360camera, lane assist and so on.

I asked car wow for a quote and they came back with 13pct discount (if taking pcp) on new on a admittedly high spec car.

So either dealers are delusional. Or real depreciation is low. Or they are discounting heavily ahead of the facelift. Or combination of all three.

I think if prices were more reasonable would go used. But otherwise the new model will bring quite a lot of improvements... 9 speed gearbox, new instrument cluster, bigger nav...

Depreciation you might think is “slow” but it isn’t it’s a mass produced car end of story.

Dealers are spanking those on part x and have huge margins built in. Or possibly/and possibly they are making it seem pointless to buy used instead may we introduce you to our new sales team where they do make a far bigger margin on the new car finance package.

Call me cynical.
