Hi all, I was hoping that someone could confirm the latest Volvo DVD upgrade that can be used to upgrade both the software and the maps of a 2007 V8 Vantage using the DVD based sat nav system?

I've been looking on ebay to try and pick up an up to date set of discs but it would be reassuring to hear that someone has already updated to a specific disc set.

thanks

If it's definitely the DVD (so no TMC) its an MMM/P2001 system, so the latest Volvo disc according to the Volvo nav website is:

Volvo RTI P2001/MMM Europe
Media: DVD
Volvo Part number: 31470159
Previous Volvo Part number: 31428072

DVD 1: Portugal, France, United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland
DVD 2: Luxembourg, Greece, Croatia, Netherlands, Austria, Slovenia, Norway, Germany, Finland, Italy, Sweden, Denmark
DVD 3: Hungary, Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Poland

Enjoy the most accurate driving instructions while driving in Europe.

This newly updated HERE map of Europe for your Volvo RTI (MMM/P2001) - DVD navigation system covers millions of square kilometers and many points of interest in the following countries: DVD 1: Belgium, France, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom; DVD 2: Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden; DVD 3: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovak Republic.

In this new Volvo map update approximately 29 117 roundabouts, 450 475 street names, 24 576 one way streets and 92 558 turn restrictions have been added or amended.

In addition to precise routes, these clear, rich maps feature many POIs: golf courses, theatres, hotels, car parks and much more making this latest edition of Volvo digital map the perfect guide to motoring through Europe.
HERE are some significant changes included in this map update:
• new km's of road covered +116.252 km
• 29.117 roundabouts
• 450.475 streetnames,
• 24.576 one ways streets
• 92.558 turn restrictions added or changed.

This HERE map is compatible with the following Volvo Sat Nav: RTI (MMM/P2001) - DVD.

Oh dear, they never learn. If you are driving from France to Germany there is no common disc. You have to change from DVD 1 to DVD 2 at the border and re- programme the satnav. Thank goodness I have moved on to a Porsche system.

Yes it did. It only took 10 minutes or so and I now have, for what it is worth full postcode support and 2015 maps. I'm not sure what else has changed, if anything as I only occasionally use the satnav as it still doesn't appear to list speed cameras.

Paid £27 inc delivery but happy with that, so long as it works.

Absolutely fine. Just be careful to buy the right discs for your unit depending on whether you have the disc based or hard drive based system.

For the disc based system the important detail was RTI P2001/MMM Europe.

To whomever removed my eBay link above due to a concern over 'pirate' material I can reassure you that the discs are 100% genuine. Used yes but not counterfeit. If I can be bothered I will post some photos later.

If you'd rather pay full price for brand new discs from Volvo then go for it but frankly I don't think they are worth it when the system is now obsolete and original disks can be found for next to nothing on eBay.

I wonder if someone with the 2015 discs would be kind enough to do me favour, I updated my disc’s a few years ago but the post code coverage up my neck of the woods is useless, if someone could try my postcode and let me know if it’s covered it would be much appreciated. Post code is DD8 2SR. Thanks.

Just installed the 2015 (Volvo) maps and your postcode is not available, that's odd.
