I'm guessing cost of maintenance and ownership will be lower than a 996 Turbo.
My W211 daily driver has been both very reliable and low maintenance costs.
Are SL55 AMG able to devour a bank balance for breakfast?
The suspension can throw up very large bills other than that they are not so bad, even allowing for this they are much cheaper to purchase than cars of equivalent performance. Similar running costs to a 996 Turbo I would guess.

My SL55, for censored, has not cost particularly much to run. A lot of work was carried out at about 65,000 miles, including new brakes (SBS) and ABC pump, before I purchased the car.
Good ad and a good looking car. thumbup

Agreed, that's a lot of car for the money and glad to hear it has been relatively trouble free. I just seem to remember seeing the SL55 AMG in a car magazine article about top 10 used cars to avoid once!!!

It is also regularly in top ten lists of future get em while you can future classics wink Good advert, hope you get an easy sale.

Mine was for sale recently but decided it would be better to have it perfect for the next owner so am getting a few minor rust spots done at a bodyshop before re-advertising.
