Nature of the gearbox unfortunately. Fluid and filter change helped very slightly, but ultimately was one of the reasons I sold it for an R172. Much smoother and quicker gearbox.

Right. Picked the car up today. Transmission flushed including torque converter.Oil and filter replaced and it's a vast improvement. Thanks to everyone who offered advice.

Glad you got sorted, did Mercedes offer any money back on the software update they carried out needlessly?

They didn't charge me for the software update,so I'm assuming it was done on a recall basis??
