Can anyone tell me if it is possible to lower my 2005 DB9? and has anyone done this and what was the cost. Any photos please ?
Would a Aston Garage undertake the task ?
Thanks John
Ignore the grown-ups.

No input on how to do it, but just encouragement to do whatever you want with your car.

You can get some lowering springs and any Aston indy could do it. You would need a geometry check afterwards too

Lots of upgrade parts (inc springs) listed here

One of the things I like about my Vantage compared to Italian sportscars, is that its very usable and practical as a daily driver. I've had really low cars before, and away from a race track the downsides outweigh the upsides

Dropping it 25-40mm and fitting a front splitter, is going to take a lot of that away. You will be struggling with speed bumps, multi-storey car parks ets. So long as you understand that and drive accordingly...or treat the front splitter as a consumable, and replace it at every service wink

Agree. You have to be ingratiated with the self-appointed glitterati who inhabit this part of PH to get away with modifying your AM. If you're the right person you can stick different wheels, spoilers and odd colour schemes onto your car to the sound of warm and plentiful plaudits. If you're not in that circle then you're just a boy racing chav who has ruined their car and brought shame to the marque.

But that's only if you care about the opinions of a bunch of fat, bald, middle-aged men on the internet.

Crikey all that from a one line comment about it lowering the value of his car. Ever thought of seeking help?

like what you did there Jockman " lowering the value of his car " as in "lowering the car " nice !! why didn't i think of that ...............and of course other contributors are totally correct, it is the owners choice if he want to "lower" his car or stick a green windscreen shade with the words "Essex Boy" on it ......when I was a kid I used to have tassels on the end of my push bike handle bars......now i just wear tassels on my nipples smile

Back on topic. H&R springs, lowers about 1 inch you have to watch speed humps etc. Improves handling and stance, more planted when accelerating hard. DIY job if you know what to do, though Geo reset paramount after.

Sorry about the yellow peril!!

Mine was lowered by 1cm when I changed from the standard 'Sports Pack' dampers to Bilstein during 'Project Blofeld'. It looks a bit better now as they have bedded in. The photograph below was taken just after they had been fitted.

You must have the Geo' and corner-weight done afterwards or you will very likely end up with a very odd handling car, any specialist worth his salt would advise anyway. Get a pic of the after look up....

A full GEO was part of the service provided by BR when carrying out project Blofeld.
