But TBH I prefer the shape of the C63. Unlike the new 4.4 turbo one which is a jelly mould mess IMHO.

I like them, great engine but the interior is poor.

For the money an e60 m5 is more powerful, quicker, better interior and a more specialist choice. But harder to live with as a daily car.

Personally i feel that a cl63 has a better image and was a much dearer car when new, have you looked at one of those?
Eh? Quicker? Where?

BTW, I've had an E61 M5 and 2 x C63s

Looks lovely. As has been said, great non-conformist choice!

The thing with the C63 is that your image can be tarnished by doing / buying the wrong car. I know we shouldn't care, but the way the car looks will either make you look like a drug dealer or a car enthusiast.

Black, with blacked out windows and black wheels is the obvious pimp / dealer / "oil money yo!" look.

White with all the trimmings is the everyday C63 conformist look that most left the factory with. It's nice but it's obvious and emotionless in my opinion (not that it matters).

Silver is almost as the above.

Tenorite Grey, Fire Opal, Blue, and any other non-conformist colour is in my opinion far enough away from the crowd to be seen as an enthusiast choice. You won't look like you have 5g of herb for sale or that you have 3 bhes for rent in the back. Unless of course you go balls out on the black tints, carbon and wheels.

Buy the car that suits the image you want to portray. Simples!

Love the grey. I looked at three, silver (bland), mesa red (didn't really suit the car) and black which looked great but the paint was in appalling condition.

sorry: i forgot the "innit bruv".
The chap who totalled that had hired it...so to be fair not all C63 owners are chavs. I'm a bearded 40 year old Programme Manager! It's the best car I've ever owned, goes like stink, comfortable, sounds awesome and handles well.

Pre-facelift interior in my opinion is shocking. If you want a more resolved interior then look for a facelift car.

Lovely car you've bought there!

I own a black (with black interior) C63 Coupe, and that obviously makes me a wally I'm guessing.

It's a brilliant car to own and drive, it can be sedate and relatively comfortable when needed, and can transform into a real raging demon when you want it to. My mrs likes travelling in it, and the panoramic roof adds a nice dimension to it.

There are douche-nozzles driving all sorts of cars. I drive mine as if I would drive any other car!

I see plonkers driving all sorts of cars, MX5, S5, Boxsters, Golf R, etc etc. Just buy what you want, respect the rules and enjoy it smile

Enjoy your new purchase OP, it looks a cracker.

Ignore all the haters - I've had one and it was really great...
Both of the above represent excellent advice. Letting other people choose your car for you would indeed be bellendish. Getting it would be entirely normal.

However if you're still in infant school mentally, all mature-looking but you still worry a lot about what other people might think, avoid it like the plague in any colour but particularly the ones that suit the car. It's only something that you want for your own use, after all. So, a different car it is then smile

On the pre-facelift cars check out whether there was a recall completed for a head bolt issue.
Is that a recall or just a potential issue?

If it was, there's also a very recent/current recall for airbags and related electrics/switches or something similar. That's not very helpful but an owner will be along shortly with the correct details - there may be others looking for a C63.

i'd be willing to bet he did about 10 minutes worth of a workout and spent the rest of the time just walking around the gym looking at girls, fking around with his phone and taking up space. When he did actually try and exert some effort he put a machine on the heaviest setting, did 2 reps accompanied by huge grunts/"usshh" noises, secretly was unable to do any more but deflected it by standing up and walked around in circles 'stretching off'. My gym is full of them too.

Yes, you are correct. The owner of a real c63 would not be at the gym. He'd be wrestling his car down the streets of Manchester and London.

I’m another who will say ignore the image and buy the car you want.

Having owned an X5 previously and now a new white Audi I like to think I’ve done my bit for reversing the negative opinions of the drivers of the cars by keeping to the speed limit in town, never tailgating and keeping left after overtaking.

I’m now looking at C63 estates to replace the Audi and the only thing that worries me is that the ride is going to be most un-Mercedes like. Is that the case?
