What is the question? I am subscribed and activated, seems to work just as good as waze for me, much better than the old RDS-TMC channel.

Just thought it would announce the traffic as you go.

My Tom Tom App on IPhone with Traffic and speed cameras was great but get no sound from it once in car connected to Bluetooth or the USB charging port and can't work out to get it sorted.

New car, new tech problem

There is a setting in there to get traffic notifications - it is just bloody annoying and much easier to let the satnav do its think and route you around it in my opinion. That way you don't start dong the work of what a computer can do much much quicker and saver.

I guess you simply haven't switched the input of the command system to stream audio from your phone. Once you set it to stream from your phone then your phone will do the mixing and will mix the announcement from TomTom together with the music playing from your phone.

If you want to stay with phone based navigation then I can really recommend Waze - I find it much more dynamic with better routing algorithms and traffic information that is uptodate and accurate.

However the build in Mercedes system is actually very good, and with automatic map updates and realtime traffic information, and a mixer for audio for all your sources with a big screen that also displays in the instrument cluster and if you have on the HUD you really can't beat it.

Hi again,

Thanks for your reply.

Sorted the traffic notifications "TA" announcement option ticked.

In car sat nav set to "dynamic route" so should single out the traffic and re-route when required.

Have worked out the phone / bluetooth stuff, all set up.

I went a purchased a Snooper 4Zero Speed Camera Detector today, just need to get the power cable hard wired in somewhere, not sure if it`ll go from the glove box to dash or from the rear view mirror/door light controls...have tried googling it but nothing comes up.

Still very impressed with the car so far, did 600 miles !

I've just hard-wired a dash-cam into the fuse box in the passenger footwell.
The good news is that the installation is very neat.
The only bad news is that all the fuzes seem to be permanently live - so I have to remember to turn off the camera when I turn off the car.

Snooper4Zero successfully hard wired into the fuse box near drivers side door.
Very easy to set up and very easy to hide wires and install.
Piece of mind at least when on the road....

I'm on the 21" AMG alloys, find the ride not too bad and let a bit pressure out the front tyres, now running 2.05 bar at front 2.15 bar at rear.

Still get a knocking noise when at full lock but read up and spoke to MB UK about it and it seems to be a characteristic of the car running on them tyres and something to do with the diff.

Is there anyway the default the ride to always go to the individual position/selection as ours keeps going to Comfort or Eco.

All in all very impressed with the motor, plenty room inside and the boot, much better all round car than our outgoing X6 anyhow.

The car wasn't fitted with the night pack from factory so might look to get it dechromed after new year, possibly just get the chrome wrapped.

My car is in production this week but I have been informed that they have placed a production delay flag on the car as they are waiting for parts frown is this a fairly common thing to happen?

This happens on mine with 20" and on my dads glc with 17" (I think). His is the elegance or whatever it is...

Dad took his into the mb dealer and they gave him some C&B about tyres etc. But his are diff to mine and mine are diff to yours. I think it's just the different turning circle/rolling distance thing of the front to rear wheels that upsets the computers monitoring the wheel movement. And a brake is applied or power is cut or something to cause the bump/judder feel.

Happens on my 911 turbo too. Also awd.

I do not believe it is the tyres... not for a second.

Hi,

I`m running the 21" AMG Alloys with Continental Tyres, can anyone tell me what tyre pressure they are running or what we should be running.

App says car currently:-

Fronts 203 kPa
Rears 215 kPa

not sure if I`m too much or too little

Thanks!

Did they say which bits they didn't have? I'm still waiting for a build slot for mine as the don't have the wheels or the interior trim I wanted.

Unfortunately they did not specify. I am due another update today so fingers crossed things have got moving again. Is it the carbon trim you are after? Think they have had shortage issues with this on and off for a while.

I'm having a problem with mine, many seem to brush it off as a characteristic but I see it as a problem.

Initially when using full steering lock the tyres seem to skip, judder, crab, scrub, whatever you want to call it. I used to experience this in old fashioned 4x4 systems like in gearbox hi with diff lock enabled on dry surface. it is that kind of feeling in the steering and tyres.

Recently it started doing it even when turning into our road at 30/40 mph so no way full lock. It is rather embarrassing in multi-storey car parks, or just dropping the children off at school. It is clearly audible and visible.

Another chap with a GLC250d made a little video of what he is experiencing, whilst mine isn't as bad as that, I still class mine as unacceptable as well.

I was wondering whether anyone else is experiencing this at all?

Morning
Happy new year all,

We are experiencing the same issue with ours at present, GLC43 AMG on Continental tyres, the knocking noise doesn't sound good in car parks and alike,
We've also picked up an annoying rattle / hum type noise at low speeds, this I'm sure is coming from the instrument cluster next to rear view mirror for your sunroof and stuff and there's also a hum type rattle at low speeds again from the centre dash area.

All in all these aren't show stoppers and down throw anything away to an all round great motor.

Just annoying and fiddly if anything

Actually that rattle started to happen yesterday for us. Normally it is because someone leaves their glasses in the cover, but I was wearing mine and it still rattled. I didn't investigate yet whether there was something in a side pocket yet but wasn't happy with the rattles.

It wouldn't surprise me if one causes the other. I mean the shaking is not normal for a car to do that.

Hi
I had the issue with tyres noise with my A45 not as loud as the video but it looked like there frost and cold weather seams make the noise louder
It was worst on paved driveways and multi storey carparks
I have just replaced my A45 with FL A45 with dunlop tyres versus Continental tyres on the old one
and I will keep you updated
And I had the buzzing noise when the fans were full or 3/4 power
They replaced the fan unit under warranty and it wentaway
There will be creaks and noises especally in cold weather

Wow this really is much more common then I thought it would be, really seems to be an inherent design flaw with this car frown

This is worrying to hear. Are Mercedes recognising this as a fault??

Not yet - The service department at my supplying dealer didn't even want to experience it, they immediately brushed it away and wanted to give me a number to ring Mercedes who can explain why it does that. I explained that that isn't good enough, and I don't want an explanation, I want a resolution and if there isn't one then the car isn't fit for purpose. That is where the sales manager then got involved and admitted that his GLC250d does the same thing and he has heard it from many of his customers as well, but I'm the only one complaining about it wink

I've asked him kindly and sternly to escalate it as an issue, because if they cannot resolve it I will reject the car. It is horrible to go around corners, it is embarrassing to park it up or leave a car park space. And in tight multi storey car parks you have to crawl to a halt with people honking their horns behind you.

It will be interesting to hear whether Mercedes is taking this issue serious. Definitely spoiling our enjoyment of what is otherwise an awesome car.
