Having missed out on a very nice 1993 463 G Wagon in 2010 I have the itch to run one.

However, prices! I know things have increased but I could have bought the one back in 2010 for £6500. Now the same vehicle are being advertised for £15,000.

Do you think they are selling at this price or are dealers just hoping and willing to do a decent sized discount?

I do think they will hold their value well if looked after but that is quite a jump.

Any thoughts or experience of buying one recently would be appreciated.

Or if anyone knows of one for sale.

Thanks.

I managed to find one at the end of 2016 and I absolutely love it.

Bought a UK 1993 300GE SWB in black with cream leather. I use it most days and its done 147k and runs a dream, can't believe how solid they are. Paint work and interior have held up so well and you can see the quality in the build. They aren't quick and are thirsty but does exactly what I want and only ever seen the older 461 or new ones on the road.

In terms of help buying one I guess you just have to keep your eyes open as they are like hens teeth. I intend to keep mine for ever and I would only exchange for a LWB as a family is hopefully on the cards and I would want to carry on using it often. But I have the same problem, finding one.

Have you viewed any yet?

thanks

Good friend had a RHD LWB base (1992 I think) about 7 years ago, when they could be had for early teens, I drove it a few times.
Perfect for what we want , daily car , tip trips, odd camping holidays and dog walking.
