They really don’t like the battery getting low. Fingers crossed that is the solution…
Did approx' 100 miles today, turned car off/on maybe 15 times, including leaving it off 5-10 mins and trying, or straight away after stopping.Totally fine, no hesitation whatsoever.
Prior to new battery, I literally could not start the car every time it was hot, even leaving it 20 mins would just result in starter motor beginning to work, then nothing. 30 mins seemed to be he minimum I'd have to leave it, maybe open the bonnet to let heat out would help.
Something else I remember was passenger window not working on 2 occasions when car had sat for a week or so.
As soon as I'd driven for 10 minutes it must have had enough charge put 'back' into the battery (I guess) so it worked again later during the journey. Would not operate on the actual door itself or from driver's door.
Not starting when hot, window issue, engine light - all appear to have been down to bad battery, which finally packed-up this week.
Will report back if anything changes.
I was careful when changing battery, using Latex gloves to cover each cable (after disconnecting positive and negative cables from the car) and had to remove x2 lugs from new battery so it sat where it should. Gave tray a clean too.
Had to 'calibrate' both windows, that was it, but also did roof up and down a few times to make sure all was well there.
All dash data remained, didn't use a 'slave' battery.
Hope this helps and thanks for all comments.
