GLC Running boards - retrofit?
Discussion
So far my experience of trying to spend a fair amount of cash on a GLC has proved...somewhat frustrating.
The MB sales people have been shocking...they just don't care about the sale. Anyway, that's a different story.
I've had to open my options a bit. I really wanted the running boards and have asked MB if you can retrofit. They say no. Of course, this means yes, easily, for a lot less than us doing it. Probably.
A few US based sites have mentioned it, but does anyone know for sure?
I'm even tempted with the GLC 43, but the fuel economy is a kicker.

Why would you want running boards? There is no functional use to them, the car is already rather low (compared to my GL and I never stand on them), they are great for getting your trousers dirty, they oxidise over time and not look great (going by my GL which is three years old). Other than if you really really like the look they are pointless. Needless to say I've ordered my GLC 43 WITHOUT them.

Let me think...oh yes, because I like the look of them. Pointless or not, I prefer the look of the car WITH them. Horses for courses.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
