i figure you folks will know quite a bit about MB, and will be honest too as you've no sales figures to reach.
i was thinking of buying a c43 4matic, but have seen one or two horror stories about bad noises and sensations when low speed maneuvering on other various 4matic cars.
i've seen posts saying people point, stop and stare when they're maneuvering a small roundabout, and are wary of parking up with other people around due to the embarrassment of it all.
MB are saying it's all down to tyres and temperature, and to buy another set of wheels shod with winter tyres. but i wonder does it show up on LHD cars in other cold countries? or IF it's the 4matic drive system? and IF so why have i only seen it reported in the uk, or am i missing something?
if you look on youtube it does look as though it could be the tyres 'skipping', but would that lead to uneven unnecessary and even dangerous wear IF the side wall is taking a hammering?

If you to buy a new one, the dealer will get you to sign a disclaimer that says the clattering, banging and tyre worn out in 5,000 miles is a 'characteristic of the car.' A benefit unique to MB.

Buy a LHD one, no problem.

WOW!
if so then the dealer is saying no come backs on this issue?
how much are they knocking off the price? around 75/80%?
if you look up the GLA owners.com it appears to be happening in north america too.

if i'm gonna wear tyres out in 5,000 miles, then it'll be on a c63.
