C350E (or probably just W205) ESP question

I've never had a car fitted with stability control that gives such a lot of latitude when it comes to sliding. It almost gives me doubt as to even if it's working.

It seems on a corner you're pushing on through as you drive through and the back starts to break away provided you don't get too much wheelspin there's a lot of arse out available. If you overdo the wheelspin I think T/C cuts in and it snaps back with the light flashing on the dash.

I'm not complaining because it seems to allow a nice amount of driver involvement, just wondering if that's normal since in this nanny state it surprises me.
