Finally collected my GTC yesterday. She's a beautiful thing. Still hunting for a brochure for the MY2017 GTC if anyone has a copy.

Thought I'd jump in and bring this thread back to life. Interesting to hear peoples thoughts from early last year on values which have remained pretty static. I guess helped by the fact the GT/S are no longer made.
I've just bought a 66 plate GTS with premium pack for a shade under 69k. Very happy with the deal and at 3 years old a 50k saving from it's new price. Is it going to depreciate - yes absolutely, but I feel no more than a similar age/spec R8 or 911 will. It's a rare car, moreso than the other 2 I mentioned, and that will help it.
Either way I've bought it to put a smile on my face than anything else and I can't wait till Sunday when I pick it up smile

What are people’s latest thoughts on values for these? I’ve seen a couple of (bad) examples at £50k

It is funny on these cars, I bought 911's because amongst other things the residuals. When I part exed my Carrera T in for the AMG GTS I got hammered. However since then they have dropped even more.

People say that AMG drop a lot in price, and I am sure they do but so far I am sure the AMG will stand up next to the Porsche residually. Plus there are not many around.

Plus I really love the car, I looked at them years ago and it didn't really appeal. but having owned mine for 6 months it has really grabbed my imagination.

Just my thoughts.

I'm also looking into AMG GTS or even GTR models.
First I looked a lot into the GTS and then specially the edition 1 not only in word (lots overhere advertise a lot AMG GTS as edition 1 but surely they are not.

A real "edition 1" has some things you can not order as a upgrade/extra.

The most important clue of a real 'edition 1' example is the "edition 1" mentioned in the steering wheel, see picture

but also the aero parts, the carbon roof the fixed rear spoiler, sportier suspension, the sport seats and red stitching like this one>>

The vehicle structure is made up of 93% aluminium, with the front module base made up of magnesium.

AMG GT S Edition 1, a limited numbers run of the already fantastic AMG GT S produced to mark its launch. The Edition 1 benefits from all the astounding performance and comfort of the GT S whilst increasing on its exclusivity and presence.

The fun part is, some of those you can buy for the same price as a 'standard' GT or GTS...I'm sure those edition 1 cars will outstand in the future as the classic to look for from that model, those were only a short time available.

and the "edition 1" was also used in F1 as front runner for 3 years, see pictures.

some tune theirs...

but... I watched a lot of video's, then later I also watch some GTR video's and all? testers said, the GTS was great, but the GTR is a whole other level, another car or something like that...hm, so I started looking in the AMG GTR for sale ads on mobile . de
Not exclusive, unlimited made, but interesting, sadly also more expensive...so have to wait a bit longer, to let them fall a bit more in price, because I'm not the bank or the money printer lol.

The GTR has some special things, even wider then the GTS, different rear, many airflow holes and openings, a special TC knob, rear steering wheels (or how you name such) and more power, although its not much faster then a GTS on the strip, its wider, more air to push away.

AMG GTR vs SLR vs SLS black-series

SLK 55 AMG vs GTS vs GTR see also the extra openings in the rear halfway between the rear light GTR

oh, and my favorite picture desctop picture>>

Appreciate the enthusiasm GTR, keep going with those types of posts, the car is too big for me to consider but i enjoy reading about them, they are truly engineering masterpieces, the depth of engineering, especially on the special edition is something to behold.

whenever i visit brooklands, more often than not they have a special edition one in for people to have a look around. well worth a trip over there if you are into these beasts.

Well, after testing a gtc roadster in exeter at christmas and being left with the biggest grin a car has given me in a long time! And then proceeding to test ALL its competitors, i finally came back to the GTC roadster today, 2017 grey with cream, 4k miles, good spec but minus distronic sadly.

offer Is in at the dealer, but realistically, even if the offer isnt accepted i’m still going to buy it hehe

I’ll miss the Maserati but not for too long, plus i have some cash left over to get a track toy of some kind.

Sexiest shape car since the r230 sl55 imo (which we love and hated), that rear end is gorgeous, i cant think of a line on the car i dont like tbh.

Going to be hard waiting bounce

Wish i could have justified the cost of a lhd but i cant, none of my other rhd Cars bother me, so fingers crossed.

Picking her up then travelling to the Nurburgring and through black forest should get rid of that lockdown feeling smile
