Four years ago to the day I viewed this one at auction
http://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2012-09...
Service history etc all checked out ok but I had no real idea of the value of the car, and of course no test drive etc.
So I ended up leaving a commission bid of £15800 - I remember hovering the pen above the bidding form wondering how much I could/should pay, and what I could be getting myself in for. It sold to the next bid increment above... the price shown is commission inclusive
Since every SL60 since then seems to be north of £25k and sometimes substantially higher.

£56250?!

Alright, the blue one had 17k more on the odometer and entirely lacked the glamour, cachet and fairydust that only a Welsh biotechnology entrepreneur can provide, but still, golly.

I'm very pleased to have bought my sl60 3 months ago.
Very jealous! And is that making 3 R129s in your stable? Over 1000 bhp of M119 goodness Would it be impertinent to ask for a photo or ten?
Now I wonder if the SL60 pricing might start to drag up the price of minter 500s, before I've bought mine.
I'm going to have to go and have a lie-down.
Your description of the SL60 as a German muscle car with added charm and character seems spot-on. Now should you need to get rid of one of those cooking SLs I know just the man...
I was all set to talk myself out of buying one this afternoon when an M-plate in Almandine Red drove past the other way, with the US-spec part-clear part-ginger indicators winking seductively.
Then I see those pictures and the money is as good as spent.

When did this one pop up? Leaves turning slightly autumnal in the photos, so is it fresh in stock?
Claims to be UK supplied. Normally I'm against the facelift but for an SL60...
