CLK locking going up/down/up/down...

Central locking just started to behave funny on my wife's 2003 CLK.
When lock car with remote, the door pins go up/down/up/down etc several times.
Also happens when central locking activated after driving off.

Any suggestions for what's causing this - other than "yet another cr*ppy electrical problem"!

you will need to have the central locking motor replaced. Mine went the same way. What annoyed me immensely was that the main dealer changed the motor but introduced windnoise that had not been there previously and never managed to put it right.

Can you remember how much it cost to replace this Central Locking motor?
