Hi everyone,

My lighting in the climate control panel has died. A pain because cannot see anything at night. How to you remove so as to get to the bulbs? Have checked but cannot find any clips etc. Only a small slit at the bottom of the left and right vertical switches.
Thanks for any info and tips.

Those slits are the key; you insert a flat blade into them which releases the locks and allows you to pull the unit out. Whether you'll find the light bulbs are replaceable is anyone's guess, they may be soldered in place but that should not defeat anyone who knows what they are doing.

Once you get the climate control unit out, you'll find the bulb holder underneath the unit just behind the LCD panel. I think it's a bayonet fit so undo that and the bulb is out, no soldering or anything. A replacement is only about 40p from a dealer.

Couldn't find the "keys" but used a feeler gauge. Worked perfectly and took out the unit tonight. Will go and get a new bulb from the local MB dealer tomorrow. Thanks again for the tips.
Cost me the equivalent of £2.22 for the bulb. Compared to what you pay its gold plated!
