its realy small inside with poor ventilation and hot footwells with essentially nothing more than a previous C class chassis with a pretty body....
You've been poorly informed there; it's based on the current C-Class chassis not the previous one. As for the hot footwells I would suggest you drove a car with the a/c directed to the wrong place!
Sounds like he is talking about the CLC, which is based on the previous C-Class and very small inside, but with a pretty body tongue out

Hi

my order is placed for a E250, 4 door.

The transmission tunnel on the previous and the new C class gets way too hot after a few hours of motorway driving resulting in hot feet and legs, putting the aircon on simply makes your toes cold and leaves the legs warm.

I know we are all fans of the marque on here, but the ventilation is realy too poor and the heat insulation lacking.

I'm hoping it will be better on the E ?.

Dave I’m not sure which C Class you have driven but in a C63 with the Engine that i would say produced the most heat of all i have yet to experience any problems with the foot wells getting hot??
As MatC said do you think you had the A/C set correctly?

fair enough - your feet and my feet must have different preferences. Unless Merc did fit further heat protection on the tranny tunnel the higher powered variants - something that would make perfect sense and let the peasants in the lowly models have medium rare calves and feet biggrin

After suffering this for too many long motorway hours and miles during the past 140,000 miles in 3 C class cars, I can assure you all the air con settings have been tried and you either have cold toes and warm calfs on the transmission tunnel or the rest of the cabin is too hot and the noise of the fan takes over the sound of the radio above more than setting number 3 laugh

I understand merc improved the fan efficiency on the latest C class but it is still very poor and noisy. Hope the E will be better in this respect.
