190 e cold start problem/help,advice please

Hi guys newbie on this forum. My fathers 190e auto, i think its a 2,0ltr, is giving him problems to start from cold. He was a mechanic himself, although many years ago, so he has checked the obvious[plugs, air filter etc] Did a search on google and a few owners forums had similar probs and the cold start injector seemed to be the favorite culprit. Any way of checking if this is the problem, or could it be something else. Once eventually started the car is running fine. thanks Tom.
