early 2000 rust?

Hi

I would love to pick up a bargain CL or S from this era, but all seem to be very rusty in adverts, is there any good examples? hoe can you prevent these cars from rusting or is it impossible?

I'm not sure its possible tbh, they all seem to rust like bastids

You can't.

The only one's with no rust have been painted.

Sedans- substandard/absent anti-corrosion measures

Coupes - substandard/absent anti-corrosion measures + a rather stupid way of lining up the panels under the rear pillar that allowed a reaction between metals leading to corrosion.

+1 on the earlier poster: if there is no rust, then it has been painted. They all suffered from it.
