Discussion
Just sold my m3 saloon, looking at either a used M5 Touring or a C63 Saloon as its replacement , had a look about and the ones that are within budget are cars without the performance pack , my question to owners is how nessesary is the slip diff is it actualy needed .
Is it worth me saving my pennies a while longer and holding out for a performance pack car .

I think you should hold out for a performance pack car there should be a few more available soon with the launch of the ppplus c63 so customers upgrading there pp cars.
what colour you thinking of going for?
Qute open on colours as long as its not the bright silver , dark silver not sure what it is called , black , gray and white would all be acceptable as long as the rest of the spec is right.what colour you thinking of going for?
Been reading and thinking if its worth considering a car with out the kit and fitting a coilover kit and a quaif diff may be easier than sourcing one with the bits.

youve got palladium silver and the darker one is tenorite grey.
Have started looking at the suspension and diff prices this weekend , have a feeling it would work out at about 4k but thats a bit of a guess.
I have only seen one pp car advertised privatly and the ones on the MB Website are well out of my budet. so would open up cars i am currently turning down.
One question and seems a bit of a silly one , do they blip the throttle on down changes in sport, or is that only on the later cars , the one i drove in Brookands did not and i seem to recall the sales guys saying it was something that would be coming on later cars.

dont think theres much difference in daily driving ive got one without its fine
+1Perhaps just a personal choice but i found it slightly to hard a ride for me, seemed to tram line and jump a lot more on the road than my car.
I am sure that on a track the differences would be noticeable.
I think for the difference in money, if you weren't going on the track then the 4k could be spent on a Re-Map which would be far more noticeable

i think that the sports suspension on the pp car made it handle better, but many people found it a little uncomfortable so on the ppplus cars they have removed the sports suspension which i think they should have left.
the other thing is that i dont think the £3210 that the pp was expensive for what you got for it
1,limited slip diff
2, alacantara steering wheel
3,ceramic disc
4,sport suspension
with the new ppplus its nearly £7000 without the sport suspension.
the remap is definatley worth it for the upgrade in power.
did you get yours done 2 shan?
To be fair i drove a 2008 PP car not the latest PP car so there may be a difference
I guess for the OP you would have to choose depending on how you drive and where you will use it the majority of the time.
Have no problems with handling on mine, the tyres however thats a different matter lol
