Your secrets safe with me, I am still thinking of going down the 2nd hand C63 route rather than the new RS5 as it has 4 doors and saves me a few quid. Performance must be near the same with the PP I am guessing.

I should have it next by the end week , your not far from me your welcome to try it , i don't think it will handle as well as the M3 did but at the end of the day i'm not goting to track it seriously so it will probably handle better than i can drive on the roads.

I drove a non PP car when they first came out, and that impressed me only reason i did not buy one at the time was the fact that the PP cars were not available and i would not wait.

I guess the new pp+ cars will be realy impressive but out of my price range.

Keith,

Would be interested to find out what price you paid? (pm if you wish)...

Is there any room for haggling?

I am also looking for C63 but my local MB dealer is being a bit shortsighted by not really helping (not a surprise with Robinsons though). If they havent got it on their own system then its not available.

Did you have a look at any others before picking your one.

I too want to get the PP as well.

Regards

Kev

Not a lot on this one but managed £1k of another one quite easily , may have been a bit more to go as well , regarding dealers , found most to be a bunch ofg stuck up prats.

The sales guys i spoke to in the midlands were top guys, the guy i am dealing with on this car has been fine so far but the ones in and around London were frankly awfull . after speaking to one even my wife commented on the attitude.

Regarding viewing , i have net even seen this one !

Saw a 59 plate C63 today. In black with black interior. No PP but 4700 miles with one owner.

Company wanted £49995...I think thats a bit too steep for a car without the PP...

It was in good condition with only three small stone chips but one major scuff on one wheel and a dent on another. Company have said they will purchase two new AMG wheels prior to sale.

Personally I think the price is a bit high and think I should carry on looking...

Would be good to get on PGT and see if anyone has one up for sale there too...

Hi,

Couple of things.....

The new Performance pack plus now has the same suspension set up as the standard car.

The old performance pack and the new performance pack do not have ceramic discs.

Can I tempt anyone....... http://pistonheads.com/sales/1576484.htm

Thanks

Mark

So the old PP gives you what, LSD and Alcantara steering wheel plus derestriction?

What does the new PP give then?

I thought the old pp was steering wheel , uprated springs , ceramic brakes on the front and a slip diff. The new one is engine mods only ?

The delimit is part of the drivers pack.

The Perfromance Package Plus p31 code includes:

-Composite Brakes with red brake calipers(i.e. brakes made of two different materials, not expensive Carbon discs etc)
-Carbon fibre Boot spoiler lip (saloon only)
-Alcantara Steering Wheel
-Standard Suspension (ie different to the performance pack p30)
-Engine Power Uprated to 487 Bhp
-A grey/darker coloured intake plenun on the engine

But no LSD, that has to be ordered seprately.

The older p30 perfromance pack was actually quite good value as it included the LSD and stifer suspension, along with the uprated brakes (albeit with silver calipers) and alcantara steering wheel.

Only know all this because my dad took delivery of a red C63 Estate in red with PPP p31 and slippy diff on the 1st of March.

The performance and handling are very very impressive. In the past he has had an E46 M3 and his last car was a C5 RS6 with MTM re map to 500bhp.

I've driven it, and everything just feels "right", nicely balanced and yet absolutely savage when you need it.

We haven't stopped giggling at the sound it makes since.....
