insurance costs

hi all, just out of curiosity before i start looking in ernest for a car, thought i would get a quote first. for a 52 plate slk 320 est value 11k....£447. for a 52 plate slk 32 est value 15k...£425. am i missing something here?. the ins company cant explain why. the 32 is about what i thought it might be, the 320 is about twice what i thought. any idear anyone.

Was it the same broker, same insurer, same mileage etc ? Assume it was - but for the avoidance of doubt.

hi, same broker, original ins company didnt want to know about the 32, so it was different companies who gave quotes. it just seems odd to me that the dearest, most powerful car would be cheapest, normaly its other way round, unless its to get the business.
