Bargain AMGs.....bad idea??

Hi all

Looking at a fast barge for a change...mainly city and main road driving....AMGs are on the list. Dont want to spend a fortune (£5k max)....but not too scared of running costs as mileage will be very low.

Suggestions on decent AMGs in this price bracket - pros/cons/reliability/costs etc all useful.

Seems very cheap for a good E55. However there is no mention of the condition of the bodywork and repeated remarks about the condition of the interior. I'd take from that, that it is full of rust.

Rust is your biggest enemy. Pre 1999 cars are better - that's when the paint changed to water-based...I'd look at a decent C36 perhaps....
