E out, C in! Both 350CDI but where the E was quite basic, the new one is an AMG sport plus, NTG4.7, all the upgrades etc. Definitely losing a bit of the vast load bay, leg room, enormous long range fuel tank and air sprung waft, but the new ones much more engaging, faster, better on fuel and has the Sport Plus advanced agility control adaptive dampers, a bit more engaging.

Straight into service next week, and a 2000mile euro trip in August, should be spot on!

Not mine but I drove it for a review and liked it.

Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 4Matic.

Straight six three litre is a mild hybrid with 367 ps on tap.

The CLS is a big car and weighs in at over 1,800 kgs. Room for four (5!) adults and comfort galore.

Expect a mix between E- and S-class in the interior departement: I love it.

A really nice car and for me a prime example of the perfect family sedan.

Nice pictures! Such a shame they're discontinuing the CLS frown

Out of hibernation on a surprisingly bright and sunny day.

That was my first ever Merc. In 2003, having a 4.3 V8 in a car that size was quite a thing. Not that many people noticed as it was subtle and the AMG badge was little known at that point outside car nerd circles.

I got it when Sprog One was on the way. Sold it and bought a C43 Estate when Sprog 2 arrived.

^ had the C36 & 43, both were cracking cars but the V8 43 the better imo, even if the handling wasnt quite up to the 36, would have another now..

Looks like i’ll be adding a barn find 2.5 manual cosworth to the line up of AMGs, needs some resto work but bodywork is sound, zero rust, not even driven one but always wanted one as a classier e30 m3 option.

My owned from new 2018 E63S 4 Matic Premium +. A mouthful, but also a handful. I love it. The new/imminent AMGs do absolutely nothing for me. This one's a keeper.

Very nice. Peak 190 in the best colour.

I also like the cooking 2.5. I know it's a completely different proposition but it always struck me a very relaxed way to smoke about in a car of that size.

I was always intrigued by C36's as they were so rare and, in a way, much more special given that they were the last of the non-MB-production-line AMG's. For years there was one just round the corner from where I lived and I used to check it out all the time.

Some lovely cars on this thread. Mine's (actually the wife's) is less exotic, but we like it.

Wife and kids are away so have been treating to a deep clean in and out (hand wash, clay bar, decontamination and ceramic spray, leather cleaner, surface cleaner and headlining cleaner).

Off to ComandOnline tomorrow for some Morels to go with the Android/Apple systems they installed last year along with a hidden boot sub.

Picked this up two weeks back. Quite happy so far. Doesn’t feel far off the pace of my old W204 C63. Surprised that the ride isn’t better considering it’s on air, and a surprising amount of road noise gets in. Acoustic comfort must have been one of the few things the previous owner didn’t spec. Upcoming road trip to the south of Sweden will be a good test.
