Took advantage of the recent 2 days of good summer weather and gave the car a decent clean after sitting unwashed for 2 weeks; I no longer feel guilty when I leave for work in the morning!

1999 e55. Painted with about 20 rattle cans. You know, because silver was dull...
Love it!

Thinking on doing similar with my S-Class.

Thats cracking. How do you find it compared to your W221? The non-openmouth design steering wheels is much nicer.

Hiya, no just a 350 diesel. Blinged it up a bit as the interior is what makes an S. I was going to get the S500 hybrid but decided better to option it up, hybrid is great but once out of the electric it turns into a petrol v6 so fuel economy is worse. I do a lot of long trips so it didn't make much sense. If you live in London and it's a company car the hybrid makes 100% sense. The 350 is quick enough anyway but I do miss the old S65, that car was fantastic. This is on another planet though. W221 is a great car, but the ride, gadgets and quality is on another level in the W222. The stereo is fantastic, blew me away last night, literally! lol It's a great drivers car believe it or not, even on the lanes, suspension in sport/sport copes brilliantly with UK roads so you can cover ground quickly but it never loses composure.

The seats look very nice are they vented too? I expect leather finishes have moved on a bit but my Lotus had a Magnolia leather interior and It was murder after wearing jeans in it.

Yes, vented. Dye transfer is a problem for sure, I don't wear jeans very often only pair I have are 20 years old so should be ok! lol

My 2008 CLK350 Sport bought in June this year. Original owner ticked nearly every option....happy days for me.

Lovely car.

Been driving mine, bought "pre-owned" (how I hate that expression!) two years back and it does what it says on the tin. 50,000 miles so far, 45 mpg, good aircon, lifeless steering, but as a daily it ticks every box. Just another 200,000 to go before I sell it.
