Not only the M156 engine but in the best, to me at least, shape for an E Class (S211)
Edited to correct the model number for the Wagon above. No idea how I got that wrong, especially as I used to own one.
A quick one of mine in what seemed to be it's natural habitat for a long time late last and early this year.

Oh yes, several little and some not so little tweaks. Made it a little un-driveable in the wet, and it eats back tyres for fun, but it is interesting to drive. And loud. giblet said:
Impressive power figures going by the info in your profile. MSL seem to be getting some cracking power figures from the twin turbo engines.
I like MSL, as you state, they know how to get good numbers out of these engines, and have also done lots of Weistec superchargers on the M156 motors as well. They're currently playing with the latest 4.0 in their new C63, though I've not been spoken to them for a while so not sure how they're getting on with it at the moment. I sense a trip coming on...
