How to reset service indicator on a 2006 S320L CDI
Discussion
Hi, my 2006 S class is due for a B Service in 400 miles.
I intend to pick up the required parts from MB and have my mechanic do the service to a high standard that I can trust.
I am wandering that when the service has been done:
A: Will the 'B service due in xxx miles' warning go away itself?
B: Does the car need to be connected to a computer to have the service indicator reset?
OR
C: Can I reset the indicator myself by using a combination of specific ignition key positions/pressing a few buttons?
Thanks

Hi,
I have been through the Owner's Manual and cannot find how to reset the indicator. Does anyone know how to do it?
Thanks
Hi Jags, hand book states; switch on ignition.I have been through the Owner's Manual and cannot find how to reset the indicator. Does anyone know how to do it?
Thanks
bring up the service symbol on the dash.
press and hold the reset button [on dash to right]for
about 3 secs.
dash will ask if you want to reset service indicator
confirm buy pressing the reset button again.
Mark.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your help, but I dont have a reset button on the right of the dash. The procedure you explained seems to me like it is for the W220 S Class, which I remember well as I have had one of these for quite a while.
The car in question is a W221, and I am totally stuck on how to reset it.

Some MB indie's do have them, one in Warrington I know has.
Worth checking on the MB forums to see if anyone has worked out an alternative
way.
